AUREIS

Turning the data deluge into actionable information—at the sensor, in real time.

Sensing technologies are rapidly increasing in scale, speed, and functionality across science and industry—creating an extreme “data deluge” that drives unsustainable growth in data movement, storage, and energy use. AUREIS addresses this challenge by moving computation into the sensing network, converting raw data into actionable information as early as possible through edge intelligence and adaptive architectures.

Our scientific hypothesis is that by reimagining networks of sensors as data-driven, adaptive intelligent architectures with meshed hierarchical interconnections and optimally distributed edge computing at the data source, we can dramatically improve information extraction efficiency and energy efficiency, while enabling new capabilities such as autonomous calibration and adaptive data acquisition.
